Educause

Educause is a meta-organization — that is, an organization of organizations, research centers, and departments within universities — devoted to the studied use of technology and new media in higher education. As such, Educause publishes research covering a range of trends in educational technology, some interesting and some not, through its online newsletter and e-books.

Newspapers In Education

Newspapers In Education aims to put local newspapers in the hands of young people through school programs. NIE programs are typically managed by designated coordinators at the papers themselves. NIEonline provides online lesson plans and other newspaper-oriented resources to teachers. The focus of these materials is content (i.e. "current events"), and issues like the role of journalism, control of the media, and bias appear to be undiscussed.
